It seems like all they do on this show now is hold babies back stage while parents duke it out in front of the audience. When Maury announces, "You ARE the father," the baby gets handed over into what often looks like a very tumultuous family environment. Does the show have any early childhood professionals there to educate parents, screen the children or offer developmentally appropriate support? I'm concerned that the antics of the show are overshadowing what is best for the young children and their parents.
