On the Ellen Degeneres Show, they always give away soooo many things to the audience or to the guests. And they're like really good and nice things like TVs, playstations, cameras, etc.
Sometimes she even gives away cars or a LOT of cash.
Or sometime she even goes to other places (like the supermarket) and just hands our free stuff to people. I even saw this one show where she went to a CVS, gave away things to random people and then she had 2 people fill their carts with whatever they wanted and she would pay for it.

Is she doing this with her own money (or money earned from the show)?
Or is it the companies that give her the stuff and she gives it away? or how??

I know is a very nice and generous person and i LOVE her!!! she's amazing!!! I just wanna know HOW they are able to give away soooo many free things.

When they give away things like TVs, they are usually provided by the manufacturer in return for the advertising value of being mentioned on her show. Cash would come out of the money made by the show.

Producers are the millionaires that make the show happen. They pay for whatever she wants to do. Huge tax deductions with merchandise giveaways. That and some of it is sponsors giving away their merchandise through the show. The sponsors pay the producers for advertising on air, but sometimes the Host of the show gets credit from the audience for making it happen when that really isn't the case. The companies give merchandise and pay a fee, sometimes scholarships/cash to be featured on the show.

most of the time, company's will give away the stuff for free because of the show endorsing the product and advertisement. You watch ellen and thing "wow, ellen has one. that's pretty cool" so you go and buy one. It is a win-win for both the show and the company.

I think she is pretty in an unconventional type way, and her wonderful personality is absolutely beautiful. I really like Ellen a lot, and I think she looks pretty darn good for 50. She is very charismatic and charming. I don't think you have to look like Angelina Jolie to be considered beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And you are right, what does being a lesbian have to do with her being pretty?

She is just a puppet in the horrible world of advertising. None of this is coming out of her pocket it is just a way to squeeze more commercials in between regular commercials breaks. The actual value of products given away are minimal especially since they are purchased at cost directly from the manufacturer as opposed to retail prices.

Sponsors provide the merchandise "in exchange for promotional consideration". In other words, free advertising.

It s the only way to get a decent audience instead of a bunch of degenerates. Oprah tried to pull that gift card after she lost her target audience. The whole jesus is not the way thing.

Because she is kind and gives and when people give they get it is a law of nature just as sure the more it snows the deeper go the streams the more the steam gives the bigger and deeper the river and the bigger the heart the more you have to fill it

The products that they are from gives them away..hoping for customers to buy more from them that is why they do that, and no Ellen doesn't buy them and gives them away, the sponsors pay her to give them away...=)
